Raar Grenache Noir 2025

RAAR Grenache Noir wine is indeed rare, with only 8 barrels of wine made.

Luscious bright red fruit combined with smooth, yet defined tannins and a mouth-watering acidity.

A beautifully farmed, trellised Grenache Noir vineyard on the foothills of the Kasteelberg. Planted on shale soil with excellent water holding capacity due to an underlying subsoil rich in clay.

The clone of Grenache Noir, 513, is known for producing wines of amazing quality and on this stellar site it does not disappoint. Grenache Noir with 20% whole bunches and 15% juice extraction (to decrease juice to skin ration), was wild fermented in open top stainless-steel tanks with gentle punch-downs. Followed by extended skin contact, whereafter it was pressed and aged in 500L older French oak barrels for 7 months prior to bottling.
